fishermen

or Red
Tail
Catfish.Flowers,
plants and
trees
contribute
to
tropical
nature in
an
enchanting
way.Opposite
the lodge
lies Misty
Mountain,
rising 500
meters
into the
sky
emphasizing
the
silence
and purity
of these
surroundings.You
will hear
the call
of
hundreds
of birds
and see
many of
these
species
such as
the Green
Ibis,
Kingfishers,
Harpy
Eagles,
Macaw`s
Humming
birds,
Toucans,
Parrots
and

Nature
Resort,
situated
next to
the
airstrip,

by air.A

flight
from
Paramaribo
to
Kabalebo
takes 75
minutes.The
lodge has
10
twin-bedded
rooms with
air
conditioning,
adequate
closet
space and
a private
bathroom
with hot
and cold
running
water.The
resort
offers an
all-inclusive
local meal
plan as
well as a
bar.The
spacious
veranda is
a lovely
place to
linger.You

Karel
Dawson,
who first
came to
this part
of
Suriname
in 1986,
took the
initiative
to build
Kablebo
Nature
Resort.He
is also
chairman
of the
Kabalebo
Foundation.In
order to
enjoy and
maintain
nature in
its purest
form, he
decided to
build a
resort at
this
unspoiled
